Mike Pence used an annual Washington dinner Saturday to poke fun at himself and chastise his former boss
“I was not afraid, but I was angry,” he said Saturday night. “President Trump was wrong. His reckless words endangered my family and everyone at the Capitol and I believe history will hold Donald Trump accountable for January 6th.” A Trump spokesman didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
“I’m really not as uptight as many people think,” he said. “There’s this idea that I’m some kind of religious nut. I’m really not. Just ask my sons—Jedediah, Obidiah or Zecharia. It’s true that I am a man of deep faith. In fact, my preferred pronouns are thou and thine.”
