Venezuelan migrant linked to Tren de Aragua gang was arrested after allegedly robbing and exposing himself to woman in Manhattan.
An illegal Venezuelan migrant, homeless and facing multiple charges, allegedly robbed a woman and exposed himself to her, leading to his arrest on Tuesday.Brandon Simosa, 25, who is linked to the notorious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, faces charges including sexually motivated robbery and burglary, grand larceny and four counts of criminal possession of stolen property.
Simosa ran from authorities for two days before officers arrested him. At the time of the incident, he wore a black Nike hat, a black jacket with a fur-lined hood, blue jeans and black-and-white sneakers, according to police.Officials said he possessed drugs and about $525 worth of stolen Adidas clothing, according to WABC.Simosa has been arrested six times in the past five months for similar offenses. Authorities believe he arrived in the U.S. in February 2023.
