Midwives in England vote to accept NHS pay offer 🔴 The union said it was a “step forward” thanks to “the power of the collective unions standing together”

in England have voted to accept the latest NHS pay offer, the Royal College of Midwives has announced.

The pay deal offered to NHS workers includes a pay rise of up to 10.4 per cent for 2023/24 in addition to a lump sum, on top of a rise of around 4 per cent imposed for 2022/23. She added: “I hope now that we can move forward and work together to resolve the issues facing maternity services. “Just last week the Government said that the pressure on maternity services was unsustainable. The midwives and who should rightly receive this pay offer have known that for a long, long time, and many are leaving because the strain is simply too much.”
