Police are searching for a gunman who shot a man multiple times outside a West Side taco truck early Monday morning, leaving the victim in critical condition.
SAN ANTONIO — The shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. in the 400 block of Historic Old Highway 90, near Southwest 34th Street. According to police, an adult male victim had just left a nearby bar and was walking to a taco truck when another man approached him.
The suspect fired multiple shots, striking the victim in the torso, before fleeing down the street and driving away in a truck. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after. The victim was transported to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains in critical condition. A short time later, officers located the suspect's truck at a home off San Augustine Avenue.
Police surrounded the residence while trying to determine if the shooter was inside.
