Ms Mostyn is set to take on her new role from July 1, taking over from current Governor-General David Hurley.The Prime Minister has called for full accountability from the Israeli Government, following the death of Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom in Gaza. Sameer Ben Gadi, CEO of Islamic Aid Relief Australia, has told SBS Arabic24 that 40 organization branches all around the world met urgently to take the decision.
The move comes as part of a settlement in a lawsuit accusing the search giant of illegal surveillance. Albert Fox Cahn, Executive Director of Surveillance technology Project Oversight, has described this issue as a self-inflicted wound by the company.
