Food insecurity impact families across Ohio. To help families in need, the Mid-Ohio Food Collective is working to end hunger across our region.
The Mid-Ohio Food Collective hosted Bibb's Boo Bash on Sunday to bring families some Halloween fun and fight food insecurity.
While families were able to go trick-or-treating inside the facility, they also learned the operations of the largest anti-hunger organization in Central Ohio.“I love the Mid-Ohio Food Collective," Becky Baker said. "We’ve been able to in the past when we needed help to come to the mid-Ohio food bank and use their resources and we’ve been able to donate what we can when we can."Organizers say for every one dollar donated they’re able to distribute up to $4.
As the holiday season approaches, they are hoping for more volunteers and donations to help feed families in need. Baker said she helps anyway she can.
