Danielle is a Denver7 evening meteorologist who’s been predicting Colorado’s ever-changing, ever-challenging weather for more than a decade.

DENVER – It was a seasonal start to the month of July in Denver! The metro area saw highs in the upper 80s with just a few brief showers.

There is a slight risk for severe storms across northeastern Colorado, with the potential for pockets of heavy rain, large hail and strong winds. Storms move out of the state after midnight. Meanwhile, a cold front will slide across the state overnight ushering in slightly cooler temperatures Tuesday. The Denver metro area will see daytime highs in the mid 80s during the afternoon.Looking ahead to the Fourth of July on Thursday, it's looking like we'll see mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper-80s.
