Microsoft is funding a new Xbox game developed by Gears of War: Judgment, Bulletstorm and Outriders studio People Can Fly. Codename Project Maverick will have a $30-50 million budget

that it was working on an “original AAA title” led by its New York studio and the director of Just Cause 3.People Can Fly announces New York project

The company described the project as a “highly ambitious, groundbreaking action-adventure title” which would also be contributed to by its Warsaw, Rzeszow and Newcastle studios. Announced for consoles, PC and streaming platforms, the game was being led by creative director Roland Lesterlin and studio head David Grijns. At Avalanche New York, Lesterlin previously directed Just Cause 3 while Grijns served as the game’s executive producer.
