According to Mr Clennell, the money will go towards an artificial intelligence industry in Australia over the next two years. “He also announced Microsoft would work with the Australian Signals Director to build a cyber shield in the hope of stopping more Medibank, Optus type hacks on Australians personal information,” he said.
