Micky van de Ven has been speaking ahead of Tottenham's Premier League clash against Liverpool
Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven has warned Liverpool his side don’t fear them and set his sights on emulating Virgil van Dijk.
Both sides have made flying starts to the new season following disappointing campaigns last year. Tottenham have won four of their six league games so far this season and are currently in the top four. But despite Liverpool’s impressive start to the season, Van de Ven, who joined Spurs in the summer from VfL Wolfsburg in a deal that could rise to £43million, has warned Jurgen Klopp’s side that his team-mates do not fear them.
“We are going to play our own way and play like we want to play. We don’t have fear for Liverpool. I think Virgil was the last couple of years, and this year also one of the best defenders in the Premier League, for sure.
