Michigan police arrest pair accused of throwing puppy over bridge

Police were able to locate the puppy and take it to a local animal rescue.

, the suspects -- one adult and one minor, who have not been identified -- were seen on video around 6:45 p.m. at the Spruce Street Bridge dropping the puppy.shows the suspects walking down the street and stopping at one point to pick up the dog. They then carry the dog across the street toward a part of the bridge that isn’t fenced off. One of the suspects then puts the dog over the side of the bridge and the two walk away from the area.

Police were able to rescue the dog and transport it to the Chippewa County Animal Shelter. Police say the adult suspect in the case will be charged with animal neglect and the minor will be referred to probate court.
