Each defendant was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Forgery , Forgery—two counts , Conspiracy to Commit Uttering and Publishing , Uttering and Publishing , Conspiracy to Commit Election Law Forgery and Election Law Forgery—two counts . All of these charges arose from the effort made to change Michigan’s electoral college votes from Biden to Trump contrary to the will of the Michigan voters.
