The former First Lady made an appearance at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Obama Presidential Center yesterday.
On her Instagram, Obama reflected on how much the day meant to her and the former first couple’s decision to build their Presidential Center in Jackson Park of all places.No matter what I’ve accomplished, who I’ve met or where I’ve gone, one of the greatest honors of my life is being a proud Chicagoan—a daughter of the South Side. I still lead with that descriptor. I wear it boldly and proudly.
