Michelle Keegan won't be cheering husband Mark Wright on as he makes Strictly return
Michelle Keegan won't be cheering on her husband Mark Wright as he returns to the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom, he has revealed. The 32 year old first competed on the hit BBC show in 2014 but will slip back into his lycra for this year's Christmas special.
Mark will dance with Janette Manrara on the one-off episode, which will air on Christmas Day, but says his former Coronation Street star wife won't be spotted in the audience by eagle-eyed viewers. Speaking about his second shot at lifting the glitterball trophy, former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark said: "My mum and my sister [will be there]. "My wife is working so won't be able to be there. My family were there all the time the first time around." Michelle, 32, has just wrapped on the second series of her Sky One comedy, Brassic, with it thought she was up north filming the show when Mark's return to the Strictly ballroom was taped. Other famous faces returning to the show are Gemma Atkinson, Joe Sugg, Chizzy Akudolu, Debbie McGee and Richard Arnold. Fans of the hit BBC One were left furious earlier this month when the results of the Christmas special were leaked online. Ahead of the show's airing, the names of the winning pair leaked online shortly after the taping, which took place on 3 December. Several viewers have lashed out online, with reports claiming that a member of the audience was behind the leak. OK! online has decided to not reveal the results of the show until after it has aired on Christmas Day. One viewer tweeted: "This is so ridiculous. Why deliberately leak the results and spoil it for everyone?" Meanwhile, the show's main series will come to a climax this Saturday night with former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse, EastEnders actress Emma Barton and Anton Du Beke and CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden all within touching distance of the glitter ball trophy. Strictly Come Dancing's live final will air on Saturday at 7:05pm on BBC One, while the Christmas special airs at 4:40pm on Christmas Day.
