Michelle Keegan opens up on leaving Our Girl and how she has inspired people to sign up to the army
With Michelle Keegan’s final stint as army girl Georgie Lane about to hit our screens, OK! were lucky enough to watch the first episode of the latest series of Our Girl with the actress herself. And it seems she’ll be getting a fitting, if not very emotional, send-off.
“I’m going to miss it and I’m going to miss Georgie. It’s very hard,” Michelle, 32, said at the series premiere. It’s weird because it was a bit of a long break this time and I genuinely missed her. I missed the show. In the last series, she had no closure with Elvis dying. This series is her grieving and trying to get over his death.You can never say it’s going to be forever. But it was really tough. I’ve done four series and it’s just me saying I want to explore other opportunities, that’s it. I’ve loved the show so much. This show has helped me grow into the person I am.
