“He interviewed the biggest stars of the 20th century and did so in a way that enthralled the public,” he added. “Michael was not only brilliant at asking questions, he was also a wonderful listener.” Parkinson made his name for some of the biggest interviews of the latter half of the 20th century, sometimes generating controversy and at other times eliciting truths from the stars of the day.
