Michael Owen does not feel as though Manchester United have overpaid for promising Denmark striker Rasmus Hojlund even though they splashed out a jaw-dropping £72million for his signature this summer.

Having allowed Cristiano Ronaldo to depart midway through last season, United waited to replace their iconic five-time Ballon d'Or winner. Speaking with AceOdds.com, ex-United striker Owen said: "Manchester United have done their homework and he does appear to be somebody that could be a fantastic player in the future. You would normally associate spending that kind of money on somebody that's going to guarantee you 30 goals every season.
