Michael Douglas played Hank Pym in 2023's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and if it were up to him, that would've been his last time.
“ actually was my request for the third one,” Douglas said. “I said I’d like to have a serious , with all these great special effects. There’s got to be some fantastic way where I can shrink to an ant size and explode, whatever it is. I want to use all those effects. But, that was on the last one. Now, I don’t think I’m going to show up .”
Douglas’ character ended up not being killed in the movie, leaving the character of Pym’s status up in the air for futureDespite it serving as an origin story of sorts for Kang the Conqueror, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was extremely divisive upon its launch. The film received mostly mixed reviews from fans and critics alike.
