According to various reports, Messi will be unveiled on Sunday after he landed in the United States on Tuesday ahead of his two-and-a-half-year deal with the Florida outfit.
The ceremony, dubbed"The Unveil", will take place at Miami's DRV PNK Stadium, where the 36-year-old will be paraded in front of the home fans, with fellow new arrival Sergio Busquets also set to receive a welcome from those in attendance. Messi's arrival, however, seems to have not gone down well with everyone, as Mexican star Rodolfo Pizzaro no longer appears to be part of the team after the Argentine's blockbuster transfer.
The 29-year-old joined the David Beckham co-owned team in 2020 and he is now said to be on the verge of joining Greek top-flight side AEK Athens. Pizzaro recently made his feelings on the league's rules clear after it started to be emerge that he would no longer have a future at the club due to Messi's transfer."It’s a bit strange. I think it’s the only league in the world that does this."
