The Miami Heat had a busy day Friday, including giving qualifying offers to Cole Swider and Alondes Williams
Both players split time with the Heat and the G League affiliate in Sioux Falls last year. Swider averaged a team-high 24.9 points for the Skyforce. Williams averaged 21.7 points, 7.3 assists and 5.4 rebounds.Josh Richardson will remain with the Miami Heat for at least another season.
Heat guard Josh Richardson is picking up his $3 million player option to return for the 2024-25 season, sources tell. Richardson was a key part of Miami's rotation before shoulder injury in February. He is expected to make a full recovery for next season.They had a good idea of what they wanted when it was determined they had the No. 15 pick. It was just a matter of if the player was still around.
"We feel very fortunate that we were able to get the specific player that we wanted," Heat team president Pat Riley said. "... This name kept popping up all the time in front of me. The videos kept coming. The workout was exceptional the day that he was here. We never deviated from where he was on the board. Whoever was there or whatever it was, we were committed.
