The historic Miami-Dade County Courthouse has been evacuated after engineers identified “safety concerns” following a review of the building’s structural integrity that was prompted by a deadly condo collapse, Miami-Dade County officials say.

The courthouse, completed in 1928, is where most civil cases are heard. The 28-story building also houses some administrative offices. People with upcoming court proceedings scheduled to take place in person will receive a new notice with instructions, according to the statement.
