amsterdam Ratusan ahli keluarga mangsa pesawat MH17 dan wartawan sudah berdaftar untuk menghadiri perbicaraan yang ditunggu-tunggu di Mahkamah Daerah The Hague.
Persoalan sama ada empat tertuduh akan hadir di mahkamah atau hanya diwakili peguam mereka, atau mereka akan dibicarakan tanpa kehadiran, hanya akan diketahui pada hari itu.
“Ini adalah kes jenayah Belanda di Mahkamah Belanda dan hanya peguam Belanda sahaja boleh mewakili tertuduh di sini,” tegas beliau. Ketika ditanya sama ada mahkamah akan mendengar perbicaraan sebenar dengan saksi memberi keterangan pada hari tersebut, Winjnnobel menjelaskan, pada peringkat ini hanya membabitkan prosedur pemeriksaan bahan kes.
Dalam perkembangan lain, Wijnnobel berkata, sehingga kini perbicaraan akan diteruskan seperti dijadual walaupun dalam situasi semasa di Eropah akibat penularan wabak Covid-19.
