Surigao City, CARAGA – The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region 13 , in collaboration with the Philippine Society of Mining Engineers-CARAGA and the Chamber of Mines-Caraga Region , is set to host a groundbreaking event that will bring together various mining companies in the CARAGA region.

“As the mining capital of the Philippines, CARAGA has a responsibility to lead the way in sustainable and responsible mining practices. This event marks a significant milestone as the first-ever gathering that will unite mining companies to discuss and address climate change with a common goal of ensuring the resilience of communities where mining operations take place,” says Engr. Larry M. Heradez, Regional Director of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region 13.

“We are excited to participate in the Caraga Resilient Mining Week and share our best practices in climate change adaptation. This event provides a valuable opportunity for industry stakeholders to learn from each other and contribute to the overall resilience of our communities,” says Engr. Artemio E. Valeroso, AVP–Resident Mine Manager of Taganito Mining Corporation , an affiliate of Nickel Asia Corporation .
