Johnny Curiel will be showcasing his experience with Mexican cuisine and Mexican restaurants, like Centro Mexican Kitchen in Boulder.
Chef Johnny Curiel, who has worked with big local names like chefs Troy Guard, Dave Query and Richard Sandoval, plans to open his first solo restaurant next month. The Truffle Table, a fromage-focused bar, closed in LoHi after 10 years.
Owners Rob and Karin Lawler opened The Truffle Table, at 2556 15th St., in 2013 as a sister outpost to the city’s longest-running cheese shop, Truffle Cheese Shop, which they opened in Cherry Creek in 2007 and later sold to an employee. “Thank you for 10 years of welcoming us into your lives and community,” the Lawlers wrote on The Truffle Table’s website. “We are so grateful to consider you our friends and neighbors and so happy for Kasie and Johnny and their new adventure. We know you’ll love them just as much as we do!”
