Mexican foot guide charged with molesting 17-year-old migrant girl [Breaking]
A Mexican man previously charged with human smuggling violations now stands accused of molesting a 17-year-old girl who was part of a group he helped guide across the border in the Otay Mountain wilderness area, according to federal prosecutors.
Cecilio Yonatan Jimenez-Bautista, 26, was initially charged last summer with immigration violations along with several other people, including a brother. Those charges stemmed from a series of incidents in which the defendants allegedly brought undocumented immigrants into the U.S.
“He ultimately used her fear of him to cause her to engage in sex with him, causing her serious bodily injury,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a news release.
