Bestway Sandwiches Inc. of Valencia, Calif., is recalling about 24,870 pounds of its frozen chicken and cheese taquito products because they could be contaminated with metal, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s

The taquito products were produced between July 3 and Sept. 25. They. come in 20-oz. carton packages with the title “Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos,” and have best-by dates of 07/03/25 and 09/25/25 on the bottom panel. The packages also have the establishment number “EST. P-40327.” They were shipped to select Aldi grocery stores nationwide.

The problem was discovered after Bestway notified FSIS that it received a complaint that a piece of metal had been found in the product. Another consumer reported they received a dental injury from eating the product.
