New York Mets star pitcher Sean Manaea has been predicted to cut ties with the Mets in favor of a $72 million deal with the Baltimore Orioles.
The New York Mets are actively looking to recreate the same starting pitching magic they managed to create last season. New York turned to reclamation projects like Luis Severino and Sean Manaea and both pitchers turned into stars.Both these two pitchers likely priced themselves out of New York with their superb play. Severino has already signed a three-year deal with the Athletics and Manaea could leave town as well.
'Giving Corbin Burnes more than $200M probably isn't in the cards for Baltimore, but this type of deal to pair Manaea with Zach Eflin and Grayson Rodriguez atop the rotation could absolutely work for the O's.'The Orioles very clearly need a pitcher. Corbin Burnes is unlikely to return to Baltimore. He'll land with a team that can afford to pay him upwards of $230 million, which won't be Baltimore.
