Signing superstar Juan Soto to a massive $765 million deal is huge, but it's not going to win them the World Series by itself.FanSided's Michael Brakebill predicts the Mets will continue to make big moves this winter. Brakebill recently predicted the Mets would sign the best reliever on the market, Tanner Scott, away from the San Diego Padres.
The Mets' bullpen was only 17th best in MLB in 2024, so expect them to shore that up by adding the best available.'Scott would be a luxury signing for the Mets. New York needs to, and likely will, prioritize re-signing or replacing slugger Pete Alonso at first base. The Mets also need to add another starting pitcher or two to the rotation. After that, they could afford to give a closer over $50 million to split closer duties with Edwin Diaz.
