, Khalil Lee, J.D. Davis and Brett Baty all homered for the Mets in an intrasquad scrimmage in front of a few thousand fans at Clover Park .Brandon Nimmo was nailed at the plate attempting to score from second base on a single to center. Nimmo was thrown out by Jake Mangum.
Manager Buck Showalter used a lineup for one team that easily could pass for his Opening Day nine, with the exception of Nick Plummer, who subbed for Starling Marte. That lineup consisted of Robinson Cano , James McCann , Pete Alonso , Jeff McNeil , Eduardo Escobar , Lindor , Mark Canha , Nimmo and Plummer .Left-hander Josh Walker will get the start for the Mets in their Grapefruit League opener in West Palm Beach against the Nationals at 6 p.m.
