Independent OCTA Research Group on Sunday, Jan. 29, warned of the increasing seven-day Covid-19 positivity rate in Metro Manila.
OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David, in a tweet on Sunday, disclosed that after a series of decline, Metro Manila’s Covid-19 positivity rate has once again “inched up.”
“[National Capital Region’s] seven-day positivity rate inched back up to 2.4 percent as of Jan. 27 from 2.0 percent just a day ago. A week ago, [on] Jan. 20, it was at 2.5 percent,” David noted.Positivity rate, as explained earlier by David, pertains to the percentage of individuals who test positive for the virus out of all those who have been tested for Covid-19.
Meanwhile, in a separate tweet on Sunday, the expert likewise listed the Philippine provinces and regions with the most number of newly-reported infections as of Jan. 28. NCR topped the list with 72 new cases. It was followed by Negros Occidental , Davao del Sur , Cavite , and Iloilo with 8.
