Metro Manila’s weekly COVID-19 positivity rate dropped from 19.9 percent to 14.6 percent, OCTA Research fellow Guido David said on Thursday. | zacariansINQ
On Wednesday, David bared data showing a lower positivity rate at 17.3 — from the previous 22.2 percent —Meanwhile, the nationwide positivity rate is 16.6 percent as of June 7, also lower than the previous day’s 17.7 percent.the country’s total caseload now lies at 4,151,079 with 12,385 active cases, 4,072,213 recoveries and 66,481 deaths, as of Wednesday, June 7.
DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire previously said that the rise and fall of COVID-19 infections in the country are expected, due to the lower number of tests conducted and the the public’s increased mobility.
