KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of continuous rain for several parts of Sarawak, starting Tuesday (Jan 3) until Jan 4.
According to a statement issued at 1.30pm today, continuous rain is expected to occur in Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu and Mukah.
Similar weather conditions are also expected to occur in several areas in Sabah, involving Sandakan and Kudat. MetMalaysia in the same statement also said that a similar forecast is also expected for Kelantan and Terengganu, for two days from Jan 6. It said that in Kelantan areas involved are Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh and Kuala Krai while for Terengganu it involves Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus and Kuala Terengganu. - Bernama
