For nearly 60 years, Jym Ganahl has had his eye to the sky.
Wed, May 22nd 2024 at 11:46 AM COLUMBUS , Ohio —When I was 12, I was mad at the guys on T.V. for missing snow forecasts for missing school, and I wanted to get out of school" shared Ganahl. "So, when I was 12 I started studying weather. When I was 17, I walked to the T.V. station in Iowa and said 'I can do this better that the guy you have doing it,' and they took me."
A year later, Mr. Deangelo and Jamie Justice rescued me. I was so bored -- I wasn't ready to be retired. They've given me the seven happiest years of my career. The people I work with I have never had better, ever. Everybody I work with at ABC 6, and the people in the community, have been such a delight."
