.Metallica's 'S&M2' concert film is coming to theaters
Metallica performs at Pala Alpitour in Turin, Italy on Feb. 10, 2018., the sequel to the group’s 1999 album and concert film Metallica will perform tunes from the original S&M shows, as well as new songs. The conductor will be Michael Tilson Thomas, the music director at the San Francisco Symphony, as well as the artistic director for the New World Symphony. The original 1999 conductor, Michael Kamen, died in 2003 of a heart attack.
Fans who can’t make the shows in person will be able to hit up one of 3,000 movie theaters around the world to watch the concert film, according to the Tickets for the screenings go on sale tentatively Aug. 7. For more information and to sign up for alerts, visit the show's page
