Currently, there will be no opportunities for Bay Area fans to enter the 'Snake Pit.'
Dubbed"No Repeat Weekend," the tour begins in Amsterdam on April 27 and 29, 2023, and is scheduled to continue through late September 2024, closing with four dates in Mexico City. They're also promising a return to their"snake pit" stage setup in which the band plays in the round, with the stage circling a small area where superfans will be surrounded by the band members on all sides. The tradition dates back to their 1992-1993 tour.
Although it's entirely possible that Metallica will announce some Bay Area dates to fill their performance schedule through 2024, currently the only California dates will take place in Los Angeles on Aug. 25 and 27, 2023.
