After the bill cleared its final hurdles in the Senate Thursday, Meta told Canada to wave goodbye to the service. “The changes affecting news content will not otherwise impact Meta’s products and services in Canada.” The bill has cleared the Senate but still awaits royal assent before it formally becomes law. That was expected to happen Thursday night.
