Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced that you can now follow fediverse accounts on Threads . Initially, Threads rolled out a limited integration, showing likes and replies from these accounts. However, federated posts won’t appear in feeds unless the account has interacted with a post on Threads previously. Instagram’s Adam Mosseri confirms that a fediverse account’s profile and posts do appear on Threads , and you can opt for notifications when they publish new content.
Threads developer Peter Cottle revealed that the platform will start linking fediverse usernames in posts, a move towards full interoperability with the fediverse. Meta’s Seine Kim emphasizes their commitment to growing the fediverse responsibly
