A METROPOLITAN Police officer has been suspended and another removed from operational duty after a video emerged of an officer kneeling on the neck of a man.
on Thursday July 16. The incident occurred at approximately 6.30pm on Isledon Road as a man was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon. Due to its similarity to the techniques used on George Floyd, Deputy Commissioner Sir Steve House declared the scene as “extremely disturbing”.
