Temperatures in Yorkshire will rise to 27c but there is a thunderstorm warning too
Despite the wet and cold weather earlier in the week, the next five days are set to have scorching hot weather - with one Yorkshire city in particular to receive a summer heatwave at 27C.
In Bradford, we can expect 22C on Wednesday, 23C on Thursday, 25C on Friday, 21C on Saturday and 21C on Sunday. In Huddersfield, we can expect 22C on Wednesday, 23C on Thursday, 25C on Friday, 21C on Saturday and 20C on Sunday.In Leeds, we can expect 23C on Wednesday, 24C on Thursday, 26C on Friday, 22C on Saturday and 21C on Sunday. In Sheffield, we can expect 23C on Wednesday, 24C on Thursday, 27C on Friday, 23C on Saturday and 21C on Sunday.
Across the UK temperatures are forecast to hit 30c. The Met Office said by Friday, temperatures in London and the South East could reach 30C before milder conditions return on Sunday. She said there was still uncertainty over how soon the milder conditions would come in, with the possibility that the South East could retain its heat a little longer than elsewhere.
