One county has been hit with a status orange rain warning
Met Éireann has once again updated its weather warning, with more counties slapped with a status yellow warning and one county being hit with a status orange rain alert.
In the update, the national forecaster warned that from tomorrow into Friday evening there will be persistent rain that may turn heavy leading to possible flooding and poor visibility with difficult travelling conditions. While Thursday will begin with mostly dry conditions and potentially some sunny spells, the weather will take a turn for the worse into the afternoon.
"Heavy persistent rain is currently expected to move up from the south, bringing possible flooding; extensive low cloud and mist. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees, in light northerly breezes."
