If you were planning a Christmas Day walk, it might be out of the question
If your plans for Christmas Day involve spending any time outdoors, you might be out of luck. According to a new weather alert, planning to spend the day watching Christmas movies with a tin of Roses in easy reach might be a better bet.The weather warning includes five counties - Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Waterford. These counties can expect to be hit by persistent and heavy rain on the 25th.
"A big range in temperatures for tomorrow, ranging from as low as 4c near North coast to 11c on the South coast," he tweeted. According to data collected by Met Éireann, the likelihood of snow falling at Christmas time is once every 5.9 years.
