Production will be limited to 250 units and Mercedes implied only diehard enthusiasts and collectors will get one
The Mercedes - AMG PureSpeed is undergoing final testing in Italy. The car was previewed by a concept in May and is limited to 250 units. Based on the Mercedes SL, the roadster features a unique design and an F1-inspired Halo system. Mercedes - AMG is giving spy photographers a break as they’ve released pictures of the PureSpeed roadster undergoing final testing. Previewed by a concept in May, the production model is based on the SL and is the first member of the exclusive Mythos series.
That’s far from ideal, but Mercedes noted the model comes with two aerodynamically optimized helmets for additional protection. The pictures only provide a glimpse of the cabin, but it appears to largely carryover from the standard model. This means we can expect a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster as well as an 11.9-inch infotainment system. However, there will be a few special touches including a dashboard-mounted clock by IWC Schaffhausen.
