The Merced County Sheriff’s Office continues to search for a 57-year old Fresno man who went missing Thursday night while on a fishing trip.with family about 7 p.m. at the San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area, near Highway 152 and Vista Point, according to Merced County Sheriff’s Deputy Alexandra Britton.
“He was fishing with family members and he told them he was leaving,” Britton said. “When his family members got to where they parked, his car was still there. They looked for him and couldn’t find him.”Sheriff’s Office search and rescue teams worked the area on Friday and Saturday.Cheng stands 5 feet, 6 inches and weighs 165 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing and a red/burgundy backpack. He also wears glasses.
