A 30-year-old Pinetown man, who faces an array of charges after he was allegedly caught looting a basket of goods from the Woolworths store in Glenwood, made a third appearance in the Durban Magistrate’s Court today.

National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Natasha Kara said the accused, Mbuso Moloi, had previously indicated to the court that he intended pleading guilty to the charges of public violence, theft, trespassing and contravention of the National Road Traffic Act 2000 . “His appearance relates to the looting of a Woolworths store in the Glenwood area on 12 July 2021, during the acts of public violence that took place in various parts of the province.Kara said the matter was postponed to October 12 for further investigations.Merc driver who allegedly looted basket of goods from Woolworths sent to Westville prison

“Moloi will remain out on bail of R5 000. The State asked for reporting conditions to be added to his previous bail condition, that he surrender his passport and not to leave the province of KwaZulu-Natal without consulting with the investigating officer.” The court also ordered Moloi to report to the Pinetown SAPS every Wednesday and Sunday between 6am and 6pm.
