In addition to taking care of her clients, Safira also looks after her own team. She offers a remote-first work style and is implementing a four-day workweek, in an effort to help with the mental health and well-being of her employees to avoid feelings of burnout.

The pilot program will commence on April 1 and run through June 24. All Real employees will work Monday through Thursday, with companywide days off on Fridays to prioritize employee mental health and well-being.

According to Safira, the three-day weekend is critical to helping with mental wellness. Feedback from other companies who have embarked on this type of program has indicated that a four-day workweek contributes to employees feeling better rested, happier, engaged and are more productive. It also helps stem the burnout epidemic that the country is experiencing, which in part is leading to millions of Americans quitting their jobs on a regular monthly basis.

The New York City-based mental health startup received around $10 million in series A funding, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, and attracted high-profile investors, including U.S. soccer star Megan Rapinoe, Minnesota Vikings linebacker Eric Kendricks and actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
