The result is a generation of young people who are more anxious and less hopeful than the ones before.A May 2022 report by the nonprofit group Sapien Labs looked at global trends in mental well-being among various age groups starting at age 18. The MHQ scores range from -100 to 200. Anything below -50 is “distressed;” above 150 is “thriving.” The levels in between are struggling, enduring, managing and succeeding. For the 2021 world report, the study had 223,000 MHQ responses from 34 countries.
