A member of Texas ' oversight and licensing board for police officers has resigned after police in Edinburg reported finding him asleep at the wheel of his pickup and charged him with driving while intoxicated. Mario Lizcano Jr.
His term had been set to expire at the end of August 2027. Around 2 a.m. Saturday, police found Lizcano's black Chevrolet Silverado stopped in the road in the 2600 block of South Business Highway 281, ValleyCentral.com reported. Officers noticed the vehicle's transmission was in drive, and they woke Lizcano up and told him to put it in park, the news site reported.
