Following on from Wednesday’s record low of 12.9 degrees Melburnians are warned to rug up and brace for more chilly weather as a cold front continues to cross over Victoria. The chilly weather is due to a combination of a cold front crossing over Victoria, and winds pushing across the city, bringing a colder air mass.
“Today was easily the coldest day of the year so far in Melbourne, certainly shifting those gold posts closer and closer to mid-winter. “It's pretty likely to be very similar to in terms of temperatures, but certainly less windy and a real reduction in the chance of wet weather as well.”There is a chance of a dribble of rain on Thursday before dawn.
“So particularly on Saturday when the sun starts taking out, I would definitely get out there and make the most of it.”
