Many people chose to spend the first day of spring – also Father’s Day – surrounded by blooming flowers at Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens.

Barlow, who was also accompanied by wife Holly and baby son Rupert, said the sprawling South Yarra urban oasis was “probably the nicest park anywhere in Melbourne”.
