Melania Trump conducted a rare interview that aired Thursday morning, during which she recalled how she accepted the former president’s phone number after meeting him at a party. After coming home from a modeling shoot she did in the Caribbean, she decided to call him, and then she went on a date with him.
“And it was very nice because we were two of us, alone in the car for hour, hour and a half, and it was no other noise, no other people, because at that time he was already known and a celebrity,” Melania Trump said on Fox News’sMelania Trump also detailed the proposal the former president made to her on her birthday in April 2004 at the Met Gala. The two were then married in January 2005, which she said was “a good day.
The former first lady was also asked about what she loves most about her husband, as the former president recently stated that “she really, really does love me.”“He’s very special,” Melania Trump said regarding her husband. “His positivity. His energy. It’s unbelievable. Yeah, so we have a beautiful relationship.”Melania Trump also addressed her husband’s run for president again, as she has been largely absent on the campaign trail.
"He wants to make this country prosperous and safe for everybody. He wants to make the American Dream possible again."
